Due to the limitations placed on players by real life and the difficulty of communicating in a text-based asychronous medium, it is unfeasible to hold scenes in real time or even at their given times. Nobody can give out a detailed full action pose in the actual time it would take to complete those actions, and have it be any good. To this end, the players conducting a scene are free to define such things as the time of day, the weather, and where helpful and logical, even the calendar date. This is to give players a bit more freedom to set their own schedules, but be aware that if you place your scenes too far in the future or past they may be voided by the plot events that continue to unfold in the present and have to be altered or retconned. This shouldn't be viewed as a problem though, since RPing is still supposed to be pretty fun even if it doesn't go anywhere.
