Scanner Bat was created as a surveillance unit for the Repliforce as a part of a deal that involved the use of his company's tank metal for Ride Armor construction. In his chest was a device that turned the user invisible to everything but sonar; in his head were optics capable of seeing the full range of the electromagnetic spectrum and able to zoom 100+ times; and in his ears were receptors capable of catching audio from miles away. For self-defense, he had heavy machine guns that fired plasma bullets. He served five years spying on the Wily Army and gathering intel until the Maverick Virus devastated the force; when the Maverick Hunters formed that year, Scanner transferred to the fledgling group because he felt Mavericks were now the greater threat. A consummate professional, Scanner Bat is possessed of rock-solid morals and a desire to do what has to be done to secure peace for humanity, no matter what it takes. Even off-duty, he is more than willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. On duty, his espionage is aided by his razor-sharp mind, ensuring that as far as the enemy is concerned, he may as well not have been around.
